About the Show

Announcing the annual Garrett Choral Society Christmas Concert

This performance will be held on Sunday, December 22nd at 3pm in the Offutt Theatre at Garrett College’s Performing Arts Center. The choir’s directors are Debi and Dr. Sean Beachy, who have been leading the group for 7 years. The singers have been rehearsing since September to prepare a variety of familiar carols as well as some newer Christmas music.

Selections include the evocative “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” & “Carol of the Bells”, standards such as “Angels We Have Heard on High” & “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, along with the fun-filled “Sleigh Ride” & “Dashing Through the Snow.”

The majestic “Gloria!” by Tristino Ali will become a new favorite of both singers & listeners. Eric Whitaker’s stunning “Lux Aurumque” captures the sound of angels singing to the newborn baby. With both rousing and soothing pieces, this program will appeal to all.

Come celebrate the season with beautiful music! Tickets will be available at the door, online at GarrettArts.org and in the Gallery Shop at 108 S. Second Street. The cost is $15 for adults, $5 for students and free for children age 5 and under. Email GarrettChoralSociety.org or visit our Facebook page for more information.
